I am interested in the evolutionary history and paleobiology of reptiles, with a special interest in marine taxa such as ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs. The focus of my work as a PhD student is describing ontogenetic variation in ichthyosaurs and analyzing its effect on current phylogenetic characters. My work at the SMNS mainly focusses on the genus Stenopterygius, because our collection has many specimens of all ontogenetic ages including embryos in pregnant females!
